Marked for you

Redraft clause 14 and send it to MeiBoardroom · Thu
Send Sarah the audit timelineVideo call · Wed

For anyone who wants sensitive meetings recorded safely and the notes written for them: lawyers, accountants, HR teams, consultants, and every business in between.

In-person meetings

Board meetings, client sit-downs, interviews.

Open your laptop and Softspoken takes the minutes: who said what, what was decided, who owes what by when. No phone in the middle of the table, and nothing recorded ever leaves the room.

Can we bring the launch forward a week?

The call

Only if the audit closes first.

Decision: the launch moves only when the audit closes. Ask again Friday.

Softspoken listens from your computer, so no bot joins the call and no recording is uploaded. Notes and actions are ready before you are back at your desk.

Dictation

Three times faster than typing.

Hold a key and talk, in any app. Speech runs about 150 words a minute against 40 typed, so an hour of typing becomes twenty minutes of talking. The words land at your cursor, in your own voice.

Dictated into an email

umm hi sarah, ah, quick one, can we move the meeting to thursday because the report isn't, wait, because the numbers aren't final yet, umm thanks

Hi Sarah,

Can we move the meeting to Thursday? The numbers aren't final yet.

Thanks.

Pro

What am I waiting on from Mei?

Two things. Mei owes you her review of the clause 14 redraft, and she promised the signed minutes by Friday.

Grounded answers from your own meeting library, with every claim linked to the meeting it came from. The search runs on your computer; only the lines that matter are sent for the answer, and only when you ask.

Plug your meetings into Claude

MCP support connects your meeting library to Claude and the other MCP-capable tools you already use. Ask about your meetings from anywhere you work, while the library itself never leaves your machine.

Pro

Your audio never leaves your computer

Recording and on-device transcription happen on the machine in front of you. There is no upload, no vendor holding your meetings, and nothing to leak.

What makes us different

Softspoken is a meeting notetaker that transcribes on your device. Read each column from the vendor's own website. The first row is the one none of them can change.

How we checked

As shown on each product's own website, checked again 7 October 2026; Copilot from Microsoft's public documentation. Partly means a phone app, separate hardware, a single-platform feature or a separate mode rather than the product's main path.

The last row was read on each product's own pages on 9 October 2026. Off AI means the meetings are still recorded and transcribed and are never sent to an AI model, while the rest of the library keeps AI; Softspoken sets it by folder. Granola is Partly: an administrator can close a chosen space to workspace API keys, while its own AI notes and chat still cover those meetings. Copilot is Partly: an organiser can turn Copilot off for one meeting, which also turns its recording and transcription off, and administrators can keep labelled files and chosen sites from Copilot. Several of these products can be set not to record chosen meetings at all, and Otter can switch its AI features off for a whole Enterprise workspace.
